Mini-post: Tapeo Cafe, Tapas and Wine Bar - Redfern

Having opened a little more than 3 years ago, Tapeo Cafe, Tapas and Wine Bar is a favourite of Redfern residents, and why not? The spectacular menu features all day breakfast, and all day lunch - I only just found that out when I asked the waiter, as it's not told to you on their website.  And yes, not to mention dinner tapas and wine - the restaurant is pretty much open all day!  Rated 4.3/5.0 in Google reviews, and situated on the corner of Redfern and Chalmers St, it's quite a large establishment that's hard to miss, as it has a cafe restaurant on one side, and its own bakery right next door.
Breakfast prices range from $5.50 to $23, with most dishes being priced at $16, and some already reviewed favourites include: the Pan tumaca - poached eggs, crispy prosciutto, freshly crushed tomatoes and garlic + sourdough; the Catalonia - poached eggs, chorizo, mixed wild mushrooms + dijon and honey sauce; and the Malawa - savoury pancake with freshly crushed tomatoes, boiled egg + feta.

Great attentive and relaxed staff, who served me a perfect soy chai latte to start my morning.
Their lunch menu consists of salads, sandwiches, and warm foods, all with a Spanish twist.
Rolled chicken, prosciutto, mushrooms with spinach + potato salad ($17)
The chicken was crumbed on the outside, and had pieces of bacon and mushrooms wrapped up within it.  Accompanied by golden potatoes, with baby spinach leaves, quite a lot of red onion and a light tangy mayo, it was a good warm salad to start the morning.
Chorizo quiche + garden salad ($12)
The quiche is decent, golden flaky pastry that wasn't too buttery, and chorizo and soft pumpkin filling.

And there's a bakery next door, baking fresh bread and pastries daily, and catering to vegan and gluten-free needs. "Still one of Redfern’s best kept secrets our remarkable sweet selection is baked fresh on site using organic flour and free-range eggs".
This box of pastries totalled to $18, the mini-lamington being $2, and the pie being $6.50. Though I wouldn't jump straight to say that the gluten-free ricotta and berry tart (top left) was appetising.  The lamington was a bit dry, the cream on top had a funny scent.  But the apple cinnamon pie was gooooooood.

And the dinner tapas menu boasts a range of Spanish and Morrocan inspired dishes, with a small range of wines to pair.
